Some companies are appointed to withhold or collect VAT charged on all taxable supplies made to them

The tax authority (FIRS) has appointed MTN, Airtel and all money deposit banks to collect or withhold VAT on invoices received from their vendors and remit this VAT to FIRS. The new rules take effect from 1 January 2023.
