THE HOUSE of Representative on Tuesday approved on second reading three priority tax measures, which seek to remove the tax exemption on pickup trucks and impose taxes on foreign digital services and single-use plastic bags. This is set to impose a vat charge on nonresidential digital service providers. The latter is defined as a provider engaged in selling, exchanging, and leasing goods and/ or services using an online, electronic, or digital platform.
