Bill No. 1630 as proposed by the Ministry of Health is now approved by the Latvian Parliament. According to Health Minister Daniels Pavluts, Latvia is one of the lowest funded in EU countries in terms of healthcare issues and access to medicines, as medicines are needed mostly by people who have low capacity to purchase.
