The implementation of electronic invoicing is one of the main topics on the agenda that El Salvador’s Treasury Department has been laying out in recent years. Although the adoption of electronic invoicing currently is voluntary for Salvadorian taxpayers, a plan for the mandatory phased rollout of electronic invoicing is expected to be announced soon.
