A government inclined to the digital transition
The official website of the Swiss government states: “ An analysis of the context shows that the technical and organizational conditions for the exchange of electronic invoices are met on the market, but that the use of this mode of transmission is still not widespread there. (…) At present, the federal administration receives around 14% of invoices electronically and is therefore endeavoring to increase this proportion. Imposing electronic invoicing on federal suppliers will accelerate the transition to it in Switzerland .” It is clear that the intention of the government is to generalize this practice, the benefits of which are now recognized and not insignificant.
