When the deposit is not subject to VAT

The deposit which is a security for the performance of the contract, in a situation where it is returned to the customer after the service has been performed or after the receipt of the purchased goods, is not a payment for the delivery of goods or the provision of services and is generally not subject to tax on goods and services.
