Tax authorities cannot throw taxpayers into one bag and treat all of them as potential criminals. The fact that the entrepreneur’s contractor may have tax arrears or operate in an industry where fiscal fraud often occurs is not enough to refuse to unblock funds from the VAT account. This was clearly confirmed by the Provincial Administrative Court in Łódź. According to experts, the tax office uses similar tricks for VAT refunds.
