Due to the pandemic, the State Tax Service (Serviciul Fiscal de Stat) of the Republic of Moldova has extended the 6% reduced VAT rate applied to goods and services performed by the hotel and restaurant (HORECA) sector until 15 January 2022. This applies to foodstuffs and beverages (except for alcoholic beverages) that are prepared for immediate consumption.
