Small breweries now pay less excise duties than large brands such as Grolsch or Heineken. The government wants to put an end to this by equalizing the excise duties for all breweries. In addition, the bill also states that excise duties will soon be determined on the basis of the alcohol percentage. The more alcohol the beer contains, the higher the excise duties.
