On 27 July 2021, Portugal’s Secretary of State for Tax Affairs published Order No. 260/2021-XXII (available in the Portuguese language only), which extends the filing and payment deadlines for certain VAT returns and the period during which PDF invoices will be accepted as electronic invoices. The extensions were made in response to the ongoing effects of COVID-19.
