On 17 June 2021, the OECD announced the release of the second edition of Fighting Tax Crime – The Ten Global Principles, a global reference guide that aims to help jurisdictions effectively combat tax crime while respecting taxpayers’ rights. The 10 principles cover the legal, institutional, administrative, and operational mechanisms necessary to put in place an efficient system to identify, investigate, and prosecute tax crimes and other financial crimes.
