Poland cannot use 0%. VAT rates for books and magazines – the reason is the content of EU regulations. The European Commission did not agree to the application of the exception. However, it supports the Polish postulates of greater freedom in the application of reduced VAT rates. Therefore, there is still a chance to lower the taxation of books and the press in the future.
