Turkey’s Revenue Administration has announced the publication of President Decision No. 3931, which provides a brief extension of the temporary reduction in the VAT rate on supplies of overnight accommodation services from 8% to 1%. Previously extended to 31 May 2021, the decision extends the reduced rate for overnight accommodation services to 30 June 2021.
Note that the 1% reduced rate was provided for several different goods and services until 31 May 2021 in light of COVID-19, while the latest decision only applies in relation to overnight accommodation services.
