Do you have customers with a webshop or platform? Then pay close attention to the changes in VAT legislation that will take effect on 1 July. The Netherlands and Germany have requested the European Commission to postpone the commencement date to 1 January 2022. This request has been rejected, so that the changes will take effect on 1 July 2021. The Tax and Customs Administration does not consider this technically feasible, but has now devised an emergency trail under political pressure. You do well to follow the developments for your customers closely, so that they are prepared in time.
