On July 15, 2020, the European Commission communicated to the European Parliament and the Council of Europe an action plan to achieve fairer and simpler taxation within the European Union. The objectives of this plan are to strengthen the fight against tax fraud, ease the administrative burdens on taxpayers, ensure better cooperation with non-EU countries and help administrations keep pace with an economy that is in constant evolution.
