The General Tax Authority (“GTA”) has issued a publication (“publication”) on 30 June 2020 informing that the “registration feature” of the new Tax Administration System (“Dhareeba”) will go live with effect from 1 July 2020. Although the GTA expected to implement the Dhareeba system early this year, due to various issues, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the “go live” date was delayed.
