‘A book is a book is a book’ – but still e-books are treated differently from paper books
The discussion on the treatment of e-books, e-newspapers and e-magazines has been going on for some time. Latest news (reported in the Financial Times, but also in De Telegraaf (Dutch)), is that the Czech Republic has agreed to stop blocking the initiative, in exchange for France and Slovenia supporting a separate proposal that Prague wanted as part of its effort to combat VAT fraud.
