Recently in Italy a new decree is issued regarding electronic invoicing. Basically it introduces a free invoicing system for electronic invoicing, an option to submit all electronic invoices to the tax authorities and incentives to exercise the option.
With effect from 1 July 2016, the Italian tax authorities will provide a service for the generation, transmission and storage of electronic invoices, free of charge.
